Greetings grain lovers, I’m heading east to the Asheville Bread Festival in North Carolina this week, and I couldn’t be more excited! I’ve been wanting to attend this event for several years, as I love the miller who started it and she’s one of the people who helped revive the grain economy that we’re starting to see thrive. Greetings grain lovers, Wow, this sunshine! I’ve been out walking everyday and I often have a destination in mind to give me a place to land. Often, my walks lead me to the various farmer’s markets in town to visit fellow bakers. Hello good people, Well, Passover is officially over, and I’m currently picking myself up off the floor after a rager of bagels and cookies. What a celebration of the end of a celebration! In all seriousness, I actually loved abstaining from leavened bread and goods this past week. Hello good people, Happy Spring! I hope you’re able to get outside and enjoy these first lengthening days of the season. I’m taking some time this week to plant seeds of emmer wheat.
